  • Description:
A Dutch company is specialized in analytics software and solutions and recently joined a consortium, which is focused on the further development of a so called “OpenGate” platform. This platform ensures safe and efficient passenger flows at airports and airplanes. OpenGate was developed during a hackathon, organized by the European Commission. To enable contactless and biometric onboarding, the company will support the OpenGate project in the field of advanced analytics, AI, model management and machine learning as well as provide operational support in scaling up the platform.

Due to the Covid-19 global pandemic crisis, airline companies worldwide are confronted with a dramatic decrease of flights. This has resulted in an unprecedented economic loss for the entire sector.
With OpenGate the company wants to reopen the skies and recover the economy with biometric and touchless travelling for passengers.
OpenGate is one of the most innovative, open and inclusive digital identity and health data sharing platforms for touchless traveling and trustworthy transactions with biometric proof . OpenGate minimizes waiting time at airports and enables touchless access to buildings, facilities and more during and after the pandemic. OpenGate does not store any biometric or location data and protects the privacy when sharing sensitive data like Covid19 test results across borders and public and private sector organizations. The European Commission has organized the biggest hackathon called “EUvsVirus” to fight Covid-19 crisis and selected OpenGate as one of the top 30 most impactful initiatives to reopen the skies and restore the economy with biometric and touchless travelling for all.

The company is looking for innovative technologies that can complement or enhance the innovative ecosystems around traveling, sports and other venues or events.
The company has the following challenge: How can the company enable touchless travelling and give access to facilities to minimize Covid-19 infection risk, restore confidence and economy while protecting the privacy when sharing sensitive data like covid-19 test results, contact-tracing and biometric proof of quarantine by an open trustworthy platform?

Hence, the company is looking for partners with expertise in digital identification, biometrics, artificial intelligence, data protection and data processing or block chain.
The company envisions a commercial agreement with technical assistance, a license agreement or a technical cooperation agreement. When serving the purpose also other agreements can be envisioned.
