  • Description:
    Established in 2004, the Korean IT service company mainly focuses on developing software-based platform and solution such as financial solution based on AI and Big Data, electric car charging service, ESS (Energy Storage System).
    Recently, the company has been cooperating with the Korea Railroad Research Institute (KRRI) for improving safety on tram operation in the city.
    Tram is one of the popular public transportations in major cities of Europe, while Korea’s major public transportations are subway and bus, considered efficient by the public. However, they cause a traffic jam and can be crowded with passengers. Thus, with a high demand for efficient, environment-friendly and economical transportation, KRRI has developed a ‘wireless tram’ that doesn’t require the high-tension wire to supply electricity to the tram.
    Just like the electric vehicle, the tram has a battery inside which needs to be fully charged before operating. The researchers have a plan to commercialize and operate the tram in 2022 safely in major cities.
    Since the tram is operated in cities along with cars and pedestrians, it is important that any tram accident have to be prevented. Thus, the Korean company has joined KRRI in its project of developing a safety system for tram.
    Although the company has extensive experience in telecommunication and network system, tram system is relatively a new area. Therefore, the company is looking forward to cooperating with companies, research institutes/universities with advanced sensing and smart image recognition technology that informs the driver of the real-time railway status and other necessary information to prevent any tram accident.
