  • Description:
    The technology offered by the Japanese company is the fundamental mechanism of peristaltic pumps.

    The technology has been primarily developed based on a state-of-art type of technology aiming to introduce a new infusion pump products into a world-wide medical device market. It provides long-term reliable and precise pumping operation and can be applied to medical, bio and other scientific fields.

    The pump has following features:

    1) Adopts a shuttle motion mechanism which has been proven for reliable operation with adding new move-in motion mechanism.

    2) Provides little deterioration of discharging due to mechanical fluctuation in time passing that is required for long term reliable pump operation.

    3) Operable for versatile tube diameters and compatible with various type of blood bags supplied by different companies. Therefore the infusion pumps configured with this mechanical design can be used for ambulance services which need wide selection of blood bags or nutrient solution bags.

    4) Realized with simple pump mechanism such as: guide mechanism and cam mechanism, therefore it is a robust pump. The technology is applicable to other industrial pumps as well without losing high endurance of applications.

    5) Another main feature is being liquid contactless thus this pump technology can also be adopted in colour mixing pumps and biochemical processing tools that require liquid pumping without any contamination.

    6) For medical pump application, the technology can reduce potential risk of inaccuracy of dosing. Contributing to reduce the incidence of irregular infusion or miss-dosing, mortal incidence of patients or serious physical damage requiring extended hospitalization can be avoided.

    A licensing agreement is expected with the potential partners who will be able to put the technology in practical use of manufacturing. The selling of the patent can also be considered as a possibility.

    The Japanese company will additionally support the companies that will develop actual products using the present patent with advices of practical mechanism in accordance to their past design experiences and engineering data.

    In the EU, the patent has been already granted in Germany, the United Kingdom and France. However, they have no partners yet to collaboratively develop products using this patent or to transfer the patent to.
