    Smart factory is the future for all manufacturers. Robots are and will be inseparable part of modern manufacture plant with efficient production. This makes pressure on introducing new advanced technologies and solutions with capability to deal with new and difficult tasks occurred during production. One of the current challenges is to pick up particular objects from the box of unsorted stuff. If there exists a technology able to pick up unsorted objects from the box, it will save manufacturers a lot of money either spent on special line for packing objects in sorted way (supplier side) or spent to sort them later by vibration drives in their own factory. During the project the company aims to strive for advanced intelligent robotic arm with multi-finger robotic hand (to guarantee variety in the manipulated object profile), force feedback and intelligent optical system for identification of objects in the box with high accuracy. Possibility to improve the system intelligence on time by robot´s operator is foreseen. The operator will have possibility to correct robot actions via a very simple communication interface.
    The company is now looking for an industrial robots manufacturer, which will secure hardware for required advanced object position and rotation recognition system.

    The Czech SME will act as a project coordinator responsible for:
    • Development of computer vision algorithms
    • Development of system intelligence
    • Development of teaching algorithms to make easy to implement picking system for new objects (just 3D object model should be enough)
    • Development of GUI application for interaction with robot operator (for possibility to mark wrong pickups and so improve functionality in time).

    The Czech SME has already experience with EU-funded projects - it was awarded SME-Instrument project in 2014.
